About This Project

This new double brick and concrete house/ knock- down rebuild in Double Bay is one of Domus Homes’ earliest completed projects and stands as a testament to great design maximising the intelligent use of a small site. The two storey 5 bedroom, three bathroom designer home was built in eight months.

 The ground floor consists of a double garage with internal access, study, travertine marble guest bathroom, kitchen, open plan family/tv room, formal lounge and dining room. The

installation of bifold sliding doors in the interior open plan area allows for the space to be reconfigured for sound and visual privacy. Glass bifold doors give access to a travertine tiled courtyard garden with raised beds extending across the family room, formal lounge and rooms. The travertine marble tiles wrap around the perimeter of the house.

The first floor consists of three bedrooms, a travertine master bathroom, laundry with exterior balcony and a master bedroom with a large ensuite travertine marble bathroom and a walk in robe.

This was a full double brick and concrete house maximising its north aspect where almost all rooms faced north for maximum light, warmth and enegy efficiency.
