17 May Renovations and Additions to Roseville House, Sydney
Domus Homes brings professional expertise and experience to the renovations and additions of heritage houses.
Situated in the Heritage Conservation Area of Roseville, Sydney, our custom design, renovations and additions to a gracious Federation residence (circa1908) embodies the elegant synthesis of period feature grandeur and classic contemporary additions with high quality fixtures.
The traditional Federation single storey street facade incorporating 5 bedrooms and three bathrooms, conceals a two storey addition at the rear of the house.
Original features at street level level include a rose leadlight entry hall, glazed tile fire places, original kauri floors and soaring decorative ceilings with Art Nouveau motifs and deep skirtings. Minor renovations were carried out to the existing house including patching, painting and the installation of air conditioning.
The two storey addition at the back of the house incorporates a contemporary Carrara marble and Caesarstone entertainers kitchen with island style breakfast bar and shaker style joinery, integrated with an open plan casual living and dining area and a large balcony.
The lower ground floor includes a media/rumpus room, guest bathroom, laundry, a covered travertine tiled patio creating an indoor/outdoor ambience and a1000 bottle capacity sandstone wine cellar.
The level lawns of the back garden host a resort sized swimming pool to which repairs and improvements were made
