Testimonial for Domus Homes
10 September, 2022
I was introduced to David Edelstein, Director of Domus Homes, by a Town Planner he works with. I also located Domus Homes on a well known search site for design and building services for my renovation and addition project in Summer Hill in the Inner West of Sydney.
It was quite obvious that he was very experienced and knowledgeable in delivering residential projects. I wanted an architectural outcome and David’s architect delivered. David managed the entire process for me professionally and efficiently from the beginning right through to the final project delivery. David and his team were all highly professional and guided me through the sketch plans, Development Approval, construction documentation, tender and construction administration effectively. David’s hand picked builders provided budget estimates of my project based on the sketch plans, which was useful at this early stage.
The whole process was made seamless by David who negotiated a great outcome with the Council which created some unnecessary hurdles at the DA stage. The construction tender was completed in a transparent and competitive basis, where I was provided full insight of the builders’ submissions and analysis by David, where a decision on which builder to use could easily and commercially be made.
The construction was made very challenging because it happened through both Covid and incessant rain and being an old house, had engineering and damp issues. David and his engineer and builder were responsive and reliable and produced a safe and beautifully finished home which we are thoroughly enjoying living in problem free. David’s recommended builder provided full administrative disclosure and David’s regular site meetings and records through the construction left nothing to guesswork.
I found David highly professional and a pleasure to work with as was his team of consultants, builder and nominated sub contractors. I have no hesitation in recommending David of Domus Homes to manage and design any residential project.
