Domus Homes is project managing the delivery of a luxury new house and pool in Cammeray.
The owners had started the house construction and decided that they needed to employ Domus Homes to Project Manage their substantial new home project because it was too complex for them to self manage.
Our clients were recommended to Domus Homes by their interior designer for whom Domus Homes had successfully designed and managed their semi renovation and first floor addition delivery in Randwick a few years earlier.
When David Edelstein, the proprietor of Domus Homes was employed, the builder was involved in the groundworks and piling. The sloping clay and sandstone site needed piling support on its western and northern flanks to allow for the partial sub floor living areas.
Once the piling and lower ground floor slab was installed, a new hand picked Domus Homes recommended builder was engaged to construct the remainder of the project. Domus Homes managed and assisted with this transition. Domus Homes also selected its recommended architect to correct the existing plans in order to obviate the design discrepancies for an easier build. The architect also assisted with the external colour selections.
A full interior design package had been completed for my clients which is being incorporated into their project.
The new luxury house and pool construction is now well under way with the lower ground floor and ground floor structural steel and timber framework having been completed and with the first floor framework to be completed within the next two weeks.
This ultra modern/contemporary house will comprise three bedrooms, one with en suite, a forth bedroom/study, walk in robes, bathrooms, kitchen, living, dining room with a large covered terrace overlooking beautiful regional views and a rumpus room, laundry, bedroom, bathroom and storage on the lower level.
External materials will comprise a mix of white rendered and monument standing seam walls with monument metal deck roofing. Curves will enhance the architectural presentation as will the entry pergola leading you into the elegant entry hall. Large windows and sliding doors in a dark bronz colour will finish off the building’s exterior.
